Mildred Clairella Branson, 85, of Medford, Ore., passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Rogue Valley Medical Center with her family by her side.
Mildred was born an only child on August 25, 1925 to Herbert and Effie Stevick, in Fall Creek, Ore.
On December 24, 1946, Mildred married the love of her life Eldon F. Branson in Eugene, Ore. After marriage, the couple chose to reside in Springfield, Ore. Mildred loved children and while in Sprinfield she was a Sunday school teacher at the Brethern Church. Mildred and Eldon had four children of their own, Bill, Gayla and Janie. In 1961, they moved the family to Medford, Ore., which is where Mildred spent the next 50 years. Mildred was a devoted mother and wife, which she loved more than life itself. Mildred had many friends, she never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her.
Throughout the years Mildred enjoyed collecting clocks, attending flea markets/yard sales, crocheting/sewing, watching Portland Trail Blazer basketball games and going to Bi-Mart every Tuesday. However, her true love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a dedicated loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who always greeted you with a hug and a kiss. Her gentle sweet natured spirit and smile will never be forgotten.
Mildred is survived by her husband of 65 years, Eldon; her children, Bill (Vonna Lee), of Whidbey Island, Wash.; Gayla (Dan), of Medford, Ore.; and Janie (Mark), of Medford, Ore.; six granddaughters; one grandson; five great granddaughters; and three great grandsons that were very special to her. She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
