Clyde Leslie Walker passed away August 19, 2011, at Rogue Valley Medical Center. He was born August 22, 1917, to Laura Belle Clack and Clyde William Richard Walker, in Gold Hill, Ore.
Leslie married Virginia Valetta Shoemaker on September 27, 1937, in Gold Hill, Ore. He was a welder and a jack of all trades. Les was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since 1952, a member of numerous square dance clubs and an I00F member. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking and his family.
Leslie is survived by his brother, Leo Walker; two sons; two daughters and their spouses; 27 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 70 years, Virginia Shoemaker; his sister, Charlotte Seeley; his parents, Laura and Clyde Walker; and his granddaughter, Kristina Kahut.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Central Point Stake Center, 2305 Taylor Rd, Central Point, Ore. A visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m., in the Relief Society Rooms of the Central Point Stake Center, on Saturday, August 27, 2011.
