Carrie Langston passed away Friday morning, August 26, 2011, at Rogue Valley Medical Center, of a heart attack. She was born in Orange, Calif., on October 15, 1950. Carrie graduated from Fountain Valley High School in 1969 and soon after went to work at TRW Credit Bureau, in Anaheim, Calif. Most of her life she worked as a secretary at various companies.

Carrie married Dan Reeves in November 1980 and divorced in 2004. In 2005, following the end of her marriage, she reunited with and married her first love, Rodger Langston, and lived in Oakland, Ore. They moved to Medford in 2010, where she worked part time at the family restaurant, Sally's Diner. She loved her job and all of her customers as they loved her.

Carrie's favorite pastime was keeping up with her son,

Steven Reeves' skateboard competitions on the internet and at times following him on the road. She was very proud of Steven and his accomplishments.

Carrie is survived by her husband, Rodger; her son, Steven Reeves; siblings, Emily Ayala, Margaret Leyva, Judy (Enrique) Lopez-Rios, Sam (Holly) Lopez, of Medford, Ore.; Frank

Lopez, and Lois Moreno, of Calif.; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Lopez; mother and step-father, Sally and Nolen Thomas; brother,

Ernie; and sister, Norma Jean.

We will miss her terribly. All of us have very treasured memories of Carrie and we'll never forget all of the special times we spent with her as a family. Her death was sudden and our family is still trying to cope with our loss but we take great comfort in knowing that she did not suffer.

A viewing will be held at Conger-Morris, 800 S. Front St. (Hwy 99), Central Point, on Friday, September 2, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. A service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m., at the same location.
