Drivers in the Rogue River area should watch out for maintenance crews working on an Interstate 5 bridge and on-ramp Tuesday morning.

Oregon Department of Transportation bridge maintenance crews will be working in the area from 8:30 a.m. to noon., the department said in a news release.

The northbound slow lane of I-5 will be closed while crews repair a joint in a bridge that carries the freeway over East Evans Creek. Later in the morning crews will repave the northbound on-ramp at exit 48, closing the ramp while they work. Drivers hoping to head north from Rogue River will be redirected to Highway 99 to travel to Grants Pass exit 55 to get on the freeway.

The work was initially set for Sunday, but was delayed by changing weather, ODOT officials said.
