Roy Deutschman Jr., 81, of Central Point, Ore., passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011, at his home. He was born
February 14, 1930, in Minnesota, to Roy and Eva
Roy married Gloria Dunagan in Reno, Nev., at the Nazarene Church. They were married for 60 years. Roy served in the U.S. Air Force, was a college graduate, a log scaler, and owned his own business.
He loved sports, especially football, was a pilot, and loved NASCAR. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the VFW.
Roy is survived by his sons, Randy (Darcee), Mark (Karen), and Michael (Anita); daughter, Candace (John); sister,
Jeanette; grandchildren, Cherri, Jason, Travis, Tarah, Rachel, Trishia, Dustin, Joshua, Lyndsey, and Holly; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister,
A military honors service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, 3:00 p.m., at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Kevin Gowland of the Nazarene Church will officiate.
