Grants Pass residents Susan Jean Goins, 53, and Dennis Ray Goins, 63, were found dead at their 715 Mountain Greens Lane home at 12:11 p.m. by sheriff's deputies and an Oregon State Police SWAT team. Susan Goins' body was found in their driveway, and Dennis Goins' body was found inside the home. A sheriff's deputy had responded to the scene following calls from Susan's co-workers after she didn't show up for work.

The Josephine County Sheriff's Office later found 42-year-old Timothy Storie, described as a transient, in Merlin at 9:44 p.m., the Grants Pass Daily Courier reported.
