About $35,000 worth of firearms, ammunition, reloading equipment and tools stolen from a shop at a home in the 2900 block of Ross Lane in Central Point Oct. 14 is still missing, according to a Jackson County Sheriff's Department news release.

About $35,000 worth of firearms, ammunition, reloading equipment and tools stolen from a shop at a home in the 2900 block of Ross Lane in Central Point Oct. 14 is still missing, according to a Jackson County Sheriff's Department news release.

Owners of the property called the sheriff's department the next day, reporting that several suspects were inside the shop. Jackson County Sheriff's Department deputies arrested Brian Johnson, 48, of Medford after they found property from the shop in the bed of his Toyota pickup.

He was arrested and booked in the Jackson County Jail on charges of first-degree theft, first-degree burglary and methamphetamine possession, among other charges. He is held in lieu of $25,000 bail.

None of the equipment stolen in the first burglary has been recovered yet. Anyone with information regarding the burglary is asked to call the sheriff's department tip line at 541-774-8333.
