She was born February 11, 1947, in Chula Vista, Calif. Barbara was one of ten children born to Richard and Mozella Johansen. She was raised in Rogue River, OR. In 1965 she married Jimmy Clark and moved to Grants Pass, OR., where their four children were raised. In 1995 she married Oscar Duron. For the past 16 years they lived together in Gold Hill, OR.

Barbara will be lovingly remembered as a dear wife, loving mother and grandmother, caring sister and a true friend to many. She cared deeply for her family and friends in a way that showed genuine kindness. Her kindness was reflected in the way that made others smile and feel good about themselves. She was a peace-maker and always put the needs of others ahead of her own. Whenever you spent time with Barbara you left the conversation feeling a connection with her and you knew you were not misunderstood. She loved a wide variety of music and working in her flower beds. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed sharing jokes, stories and insights with her family, friends and customers. Barbara was an extraordinary talented hair stylist, a true artisan. Her customers loved coming to her because she was in tune with what they really wanted and needed in their hair style as well as the way she made them feel. She was their friend, a listening ear, and an empathetic person with much understanding. She will be remembered as a beautiful, warm loving person who knew how to make people smile and laugh.

Her greatest joy and satisfaction came from her deep conviction and belief in her loving creator which was based on her belief in the Bible.
