CENTRAL POINT — Cascade Christian junior Brandon Williams supplied 427 total yards and scored five touchdowns to lead the Challengers to a 49-28 triumph over visiting Lakeview Saturday night at Dutch Meyer Field.

Williams' effort allowed Cascade Christian to clinch the Southern Cascade Hybrid championship after it improved to 3-0 in SCH play and 7-2 overall. Lakeview dropped to 6-2 overall and 1-1 in league.

The 5-foot-9, 150-pound running back had touchdown runs of 1, 67 and 2 yards and finished with 204 yards on the ground on 22 carries. Williams also hauled in a 60-yard TD pass from Daniel Scottow and finished with 80 yards on two receptions. For good measure, Williams returned a kickoff 77 yards for a third-quarter TD and had an interception on defense, piling up 143 total return yards.

In all, Cascade Christian managed 363 yards of offense and came up with four interceptions to slow Lakeridge's passing game. Honkers quarterback Cody Clemens completed 15 of 27 passes for 229 yards. Dominick Combs pulled in two interceptions, Andrew Sha had one and Williams notched the final pick in the end zone to thwart Lakeview's final drive.

Pressure by defensive ends Dillon Huntley and Dane Scott forced the errant throws, with Scott notching one sack and three tackles and lineman Daniel Bohn adding five tackles and one sack. All told, the Challenger defensive line had four sacks.
