In response to customer feedback, Wells Fargo Bank has cancelled a five-state pilot program that charged its debit card users a monthly $3 fee.

In response to customer feedback, Wells Fargo Bank has cancelled a five-state pilot program that charged its debit card users a monthly $3 fee.

Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Georgia and New Mexico Wells Fargo debit card users will no longer be charged the $3 fee, which was set to start appearing on monthly statements Nov. 15, a news release reported.

"As we adjust to changes in our business, we will continue to stay tuned to what our customers want," said Ed Kadletz, Wells Fargo debit and prepaid cards head.
