The Emerson Society of Southern Oregon meets to discuss his work amidst the context of his important historical predecessors, contemporaries such as Thoreau and Whitman, critics such as Hawthorne and Melville, and successors including William James and John Dewey.

Today's meeting is from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Emerson House, 65 Fourth St, Ashland, next door to the Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. There is no cost to attend.
