Linda Lake Connolly
Linda Connolly, 59, of Ashland, Ore., passed away in her sleep December 11, 2011, following a long illness. She was born April 28, 1952, to Stephen and Winifred Connolly. She grew up on a small ranch in Cloverdale, Calif.
Her lifelong love of the land and its creatures was shown in her work in Alaska, on Native American reservations, in earth-advocacy efforts throughout the Pacific Northwest, and in wolf and buffalo protection campaigns.
In her professional career, she followed in her father's footsteps, becoming an award-winning and much loved middle school band teacher who inspired many students toward lifelong heartfelt dedication to musical improvement, if not excellence. Tender-hearted and deeply passionate about all her endeavors, all who knew her will miss her independent spirit and cantankerous fire.
Linda is survived by her loving sister, Susan; nephew, Jason; and her devoted dog, Tsula.
From near and far, Lake's human friends will gather on the Greensprings for a celebration of her life. For more information, contact, Bob Given, 541-482-0379.
