The Jackson County Commissioners awarded Medford information technology company CORE Business Services LLC a $26,000 grant designed to create 13 jobs over the next 12 to 18 months.

The funds transfer is part of the county's Economic and Special Development Program, a partnership with the Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development Inc. to promote Jackson County as a good location for private companies to set up.

"This is a very viable company prepared to double itself in size," said SOREDI loan manager Alex Pawlowski.

The commissioners approved the grant this morning at their regular meeting.
