Lloyd B. Carr, 81, of Medford, Ore., passed away December 27, 2011. He was born January 25, 1930, in Central Point, Ore., to Dale B. and Anna Carr.
On May 28, 1955, in Reno, Nev., Lloyd married Joanna. He graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1947, where he was picked for the 1947 All State Football team. Lloyd served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a staff sergeant, and served for two years at a military base in Japan.
Lloyd owned Carr's Auto Parts and later worked as a warehouse manager at Sam Jennings Company. He was active in youth baseball (1970s), fishing and hunting. He was a member of Twirlers square dancing, Elks, Medford Park and Recreation Commission and Medford State Athletic Commission.
Lloyd is survived by wife, Joanna (Jo); daughter, Brenda Hehn; son, Michael Le Cuyer, Sr.; eight grandkids; 17 great-grandkids; one great great-grandkid; and three sisters, Irene Johns, Dolly Woodworth and Janet Luchterhand.
A memorial service will be held on December 30, 2011, 2:00 p.m., at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Dogs for the Deaf. Funeral Alternatives are in charge of arrangements.
