Strong wind gusts earlier today knocked out power to homes in Jacksonville and Phoenix, according to Pacific Power officials.

Strong wind gusts earlier today knocked out power to homes in Jacksonville and Phoenix, according to Pacific Power officials.

The storm wrecked havoc beginning today at 8 a.m. when winds knocked trees into power lines near Jacksonville. This darkened about 900 homes until around 2 p.m.

Currently, power crews are working to restore service to around 137 homes along North Pacific Highway near Phoenix.

The Phoenix outage was reported at around 12:35 p.m. Crews hope to have power returned to the homes by 5 p.m.
