People's Bank of Commerce today reported fourth-quarter 2011 earnings of $213,000 or 19 cents per share, compared with $110,000 or 11 cents per share a year earlier.

The strong final three months capped a year when the bank earned $528,000, or 47 cents per share, compared with $363,000 or 39 cents per share during 2010.

"It's pretty much the way we budgeted the year with the last quarter being stronger to build momentum for the next year" said People's Bank of Commerce President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Trautman.

The Medford-based bank has put together 12 straight profitable quarters, but earnings still lag 2005 and 2006 when the bank rode the residential building boom to back-to-back $1.2 million years.
