A group of environmental and land-use planning activists host a forum on urban living at 5:30 p.m. at the Medford Library, 205 S. Central Ave.

Rogue Advocates will offer a presentation and discussion of tools and techniques, such as mixed-use developments, high densities and transit planning, that can enhance urban living. Next month, the series continues with a look at rural planning issues.

The group advocates “smart growth” principals that accommodate future growth and preserve farmland, forestland and the quality of life in the Rogue Valley.

The forum is free. For more see www.rogueadvocates.org/home.
