ASHLAND — Top-ranked Mitchell Lofstedt picked up his 20th pin of the season and No. 2 Southern Oregon took six of the 10 matches in a 29-13 win over Simon Fraser Saturday night at Bob Riehm Arena.

ASHLAND — Top-ranked Mitchell Lofstedt picked up his 20th pin of the season and No. 2 Southern Oregon took six of the 10 matches in a 29-13 win over Simon Fraser Saturday night at Bob Riehm Arena.

Southern Oregon (10-3) concluded its home dual schedule. It visits Pacific Friday in its final dual match.

SOU's next home action will be the NAIA Western Region Qualifying Tournament on Feb. 18.

"It was nice to go out for the seniors with victories tonight," SOU head coach Mike Ritchey said. "It's the point of the season where we've been training hard, so the guys had to dig a little deep in a couple matches. I think we're in the right place, right frame of mind to finish out the season where we want to go."

Lofstedt opened the dual with a pin of Simon Fraser's Skylor Davis in 2:08 to win the 125-pound match. Simon Fraser's J.J. Lum took a 3-1 overtime decision over Miguel Baltazar at 133, but the Raiders won the next three matches.

The Clan's Brock Lamb upset No. 7 Brian Lemmon, 5-2, at 165.

Tyler Thomas picked up SOU's second pin at 174, taking down Max Arcand in 2:04.

Fourth-ranked Austin Vanderford of SOU followed with an injury default victory in the 184 before Simon Fraser closed out the dual with victories in the 197 and heavyweight matches.

Earlier, the Raiders defeated Clackamas Community College in an exhibition dual, 25-12.

SOUTHERN OREGON 68, CONCORDIA 61 — At Portland, Southern Oregon scored the first 12 points and withstood a second-half Concordia rally in the Cascade Conference game.

Eric Thompson scored 26 points on 11-for-16 shooting and added seven rebounds for the Raiders. Thompson was the only Raider to reach double figures but seven other SOU players scored points in the game.

Anthony Holton led Concordia with 22 points.

SOU is 15-9 overall and 8-5 in conference. Concordia 13-10 and 5-7.

Southern Oregon shot 52 percent (26-for-50), while limiting Concordia to 36 percent (19 of 53). The Cavaliers entered the weekend ranked second in the NAIA with a 52.8 shooting percentage.

SOU next visits Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls next Saturday.

SOUTHERN OREGON 64, CONCORDIA 60 — At Portland, a career night for Cassandra Tiggett helped Southern Oregon overcome a double-digit first-half deficit in the Cascade Conference game.

Tiggett finished with a team-high 23 points and 15 rebounds and added six blocks for the Raiders (13-11, 4-9 CC). She shot 9 of 14 from the field. Angelica Cahee added 14 points and RaTanya Newsome had 11.

Rachel Scarpelli led Concordia (7-16, 3-9) with 24 points and tied for the team-lead with six rebounds. Courtney May added 10 points for the Cavaliers.

Southern Oregon shot 42.9 percent (21-for-49), while Concordia hit 30.6 percent (19-for-62). The Raiders outrebounded the Cavs 44-36 in earning the season series split.

SOU next visits Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls next Saturday.
