The Southern Oregon Spartans stretched their NORPAC winning streak to 16 games Saturday night at The RRRink but it wasn't easy.

The Spartans had to rally from a third-period deficit to post a 7-5 home victory over the Eugene Generals.

Randy Ludwig's third goal of the game gave Eugene a 5-4 lead 13 minutes into the final period. But Joey White answered with two straight goals to put the Spartans ahead for good. White scored on a power play about two minutes later to knot the score, then recorded the go-ahead goal at the 18:20 mark off assists from Nick DeSimone and Tim Talty.

Christian McCollum tallied an empty netter with two seconds remaining for the final margin of victory.

White and McCollum each had two goals and an assist and Talty had one goal and three assists for the league-leading Spartans (31-7).

Southern Oregon's other two goals were scored by Nick Stirmel and Jarrett Pfeiffer.

Derek Moser stopped 32 shots in net for the Spartans.
