STANFORD, Calif. — James Roberts, Mike Mangrum and Scott Sakaguchi scored 12 consecutive team points to pace the 17th-ranked Oregon State wrestling team in a 22-14 win over Stanford Sunday at Maples Pavilion.

The Beavers battled back from a late deficit for the second consecutive dual to pull out the victory, improving to 9-2 this season.

Roberts (133 pounds), Mangrum (141) and Sakaguchi (149) all picked up major decisions to end the day. Roberts was an 8-0 winner over Jordan Bryan, followed by Mangrum, who beat Alex Manley 16-6.

Clayton Jack (heavyweight) defeated Dan Scherer, 3-1.

Up 18-14 with one bout remaining, the Beavers had yet to officially gain the win but Sakaguchi left no doubt when he was a 9-1 winner over Timmy Boone. His win was his 29th of the season and extended his win streak to eight bouts.
