Harry R. Bostwick passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Rogue Valley Medical Center. He was born October 25, 1937, in Waldport, Ore., to Irvin Bostwick Sr. and Virginia Louise Coss. He married Janelle Bostwick on September 13, 1999, in Reno, Nev.

Harry served in the Army from 1955 to 1958. He was the owner of Bostwick Shoe Repair for over 50 years, and was a Wal-Mart greeter in Eagle Point, Ore., for five years. He was a member of the Central Point Lions for 30 years, a volunteer with the Oregon State Police for three years, and was an instructor with 55 Alive for two years.

In his free time Harry enjoyed racing, fishing, hunting, joking with family and friends, reading and watching movies.

Survivors include his wife, Janelle Bostwick, of Eagle Point, Ore.; sons, Lestur Bostwick, of Madras, Ore., Tory Bostwick, of Medford, Ore., and Jason Bostwick, of Rogue River, Ore.; daughters, Wendy Balogh, of Yreka, Calif., and Nancy Bostwick, of Medford, Ore.; stepsons, Loren Tyler, of Central Point, Ore., Keith Miller, of Eagle Point, Ore., and John Miller, of Wimer, Ore.; stepdaughter, Dawn Bostwick, of Medford, Ore.; ex-wife, Kay Bostwick, of Central Point, Ore.; great-nephew, Jamal Claybourne, of Medford, Ore.; 23 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Irvin Bostwick Jr.; and sister, Virginia Ishikawa.

He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin Bostwick Sr.; mother, Virginia Coss; and sister, Marge Johnson.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012, 1:00 p.m., at Emanuel Temple, 345 Mary St., Medford, OR 97504. Max Grogan will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Center. Arrangements by Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, 541-770-6505.
