The sixth annual Pear Blossom Ballroom Dance Competition will be held on Saturday, March 31, in the North Medford High School auditorium during the 22nd Annual Pear Blossom Festival Scholarship Pageant. The pageant begins at 7 p.m.

The sixth annual Pear Blossom Ballroom Dance Competition will be held on Saturday, March 31, in the North Medford High School auditorium during the 22nd Annual Pear Blossom Festival Scholarship Pageant. The pageant begins at 7 p.m.

Five young couples will compete for $1,000 in cash prizes. The ballroom dance competition is for dancers ages 14 to 25. Preliminaries were held in February, organized by June Kranenburg of Dance Steps Studio, who also oversees the finals competition.

Participating couples will be Isabeau Kennedy and Bronson Garloff, Kodi Watson and Emerson Jarvie, Hannah Bokish and Riley Hackett, Emily Miller and Kevin Hill, and Jennifer Ohlund and Steven Ohlund.

Local artist Roni Marsh will be featured at the Southern Oregon Society of Artists meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, March 26, at the Medford Branch Library, 205 S. Central Ave., Medford.

A spring sprouting class will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 25, at Shady Point Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 14611 Highway 62, Eagle Point.

Attendees will learn to grow their own sprouts, and a sprouts dish will be demonstrated. Lunch will be provided. Cost is a suggested donation of $5 to cover the cost of food.
