Blizzard conditions have closed Mt. Ashland, a news release reported.

Wind speeds could reach 38 mph with 55 mph gusts, National Weather Service officials said. Temperatures will not exceed 31 degrees. Three inches of snow has fallen in the last 24 hours, and 22 inches has fallen over the last seven days, the Mt. Ashland website indicates.

Their live feed video camera is currently broadcasting whiteout conditions with blowing snow and limited visibility.

As of this morning, mountain officials said they plan to reopen at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

A lack of snow closed the mountain for weeks in January, and high winds and a power outage have also prompted closures this season.
