Motorists can leave their studded tires on even longer, Oregon Department of Transportation officials said.

ODOT extended the studded tire season through Monday, April 9, as weather forecasts call for continued harsh driving conditions in snow zones. Motorists must remove studded tires from their vehicles no later than 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, April 10.

People not driving in snowy areas shouldn't wait until the deadline to remove studded tires, ODOT officials said.
