Frances M. Dooley, 94, of Medford, Ore., died Tuesday March 27, 2012, at Providence Hospital with her loving family present. She was born on May 1, 1917, in Fountain City, Wis., to John and Anna (Glowacki) Glodowski. She married Michael Ralph Dooley in Winona, Minn., January 9, 1960.

Frances was a member of the Altar Society, Catholic Daughters, and Legion of Mary at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Medford, Ore. During her work life, Frances worked as a nanny/housekeeper during the Great Depression for a family in Minneapolis, Minn. She worked at a factory in Missouri during World War II, making aircraft parts. She was a seamstress, and met her husband, Michael Ralph, at the Singer Shop, in Rochester, Minn. Ralph set eyes on Frances, and invited her out to dinner by sending a letter through the mail to the Singer Shop. After their union, Frances and Ralph moved to Santa Barbara, Calif. After Ralph retired, they moved to Medford, Ore., in 1970. She worked at Harry and David until she retired in 1983. The couple had no children.

Frances is survived by brother, Roman (Beverly) Gladowski, of Pahrump, Nev.; sister, Joan Tullius, of Fountain City, Wis; niece, Rosemary (David) Jumbeck, whom she lived with for the past 18 months; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Michael Ralph; parents, John and Anna; brothers, Louis, Andrew, Stanley, John, and Robert; and sisters Helen, Dolores and Bernadine.

A Catholic Mass will be held at 8:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford, Ore., with Father Carmelo officiating. Burial will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery on Monday, April 2, 2012. Family and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, March 30, at Perl Siskiyou Funeral Home in Medford, where there will be a 7:00 p.m. rosary. Serving as casket bearers will be David Jumbeck, Janet Jumbeck, Troy Masterson, Brad Abbott, Clay Schaeffer, and Paul Cervenan. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Vincent de Paul or the Magdelene House.
