Edna Marie Franzen went to be with her Savior, the Lord Jesus, at the age of 90 on February 17, 2012, in Phoenix Ore., She was born in Yamhill, Ore., November 9, 1921, to John and Ellida Larson.

She married Paul Theodore Franzen, December 18, 1942, in Portland, Ore. After World War II, they moved to Eugene, then to Corvallis. Paul and Edna lived in Myrtle Point for 27 years. They retired to Medford in 1975.

Edna was most fulfilled as a mother, raising four children. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and church involvement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; two sisters; one brother; and a grandson, John. She is survived by a sister, Evelyn Wimer, Portland, Ore., sons, Paul Franzen, Emory, Texas and John Franzen, North Bend, Ore.; daughters, Kathi Shull, of Davis, Calif., and Janis Arnsdorf, Medford, Ore.;ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express thanks to Shirley Emler for the loving care Edna recieved at Oakcrest Residential Care in Phoenix, Ore., during her last five years. A family graveside service took place February 24, 2012, at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
