Roger Adelbert Johnson, 90 of Medford, Ore., passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012. He was born December 31, 1921, in Gilbert Village, Minn., to Alice and Roger Johnson Sr.
Roger married Dorella Cole April 16, 1944. He was an engineer at Boeing Research for most of his working career. He and Dorella moved to Oregon in 1994, from Anacortes, Wash. His hobbies included photography, golf and jewelry making. His stunning photographs won him many awards over the years.
On December 31, 2011 we celebrated Roger's 90th birthday with many friends and family members.
He is survived by wife of sixty eight years, Dorella Johnson; brothers Robert (Bev) and Howard (Kay); and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to Medford Congregational Church (UCC) 1801 East Jackson Street, Medford Oregon 97504, or the Puget Sound Blood Center, 921 Terry Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104 In memoriam to the Hemophelia Care Program SOS Fund.
Funeral arrangements are by Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives. A memorial service celebrating Roger's life will be at 2 pm Sunday, April 29, at the Medford Congregational Church.
