Police are looking for a man who reportedly raped a woman Tuesday evening on a walking path near North Front Street in Talent.

Police are looking for a man who reportedly raped a woman Tuesday evening on a walking path near North Front Street in Talent.

Talent police Chief Mike Moran said the attack occurred between 8:15 and 8:30 p.m. April 24.

A woman reported she had been walking in the area around dusk when a man approached her.

After a brief conversation, he allegedly forced the woman to the ground in a dirt area next to the path and sexually assaulted her.

The woman told police the man then walked down Main Street away from the railroad tracks.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s with short, light-colored hair and an athletic build. He is described as having a "thick" neck with a small patch of dark facial hair on his lower lip. The suspect wore a dark-colored, hooded sweatshirt, possibly with a plaid shirt under it, brown shorts and sandals.
