David Pinsky's Rhythm Kings play a mix of jumpin' R&B that hearkens back to ol' Chicago clubs and Mississippi juke joints. The Ashland band has shared the stage with some of the best, including B.B. King, Elvin Bishop and Tower of Power.
Pinsky, a blues harpist and guitarist, and his Rhythm Kings, including keyboardist Gary Halliburton, bassist John Cates and drummer Tom Freeman, will play at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 22-23, at Roscoe's BBQ, 117 S. Main St., Phoenix.
The group continues to play regularly around the Rogue Valley and is planning to release a new album, “Blues Therapy,” later this year.
