January 11, 1918 - June 19, 2012

Phyllis Evadna Householder was born January 11, 1918, in Central Point, Ore., to Ralph and Lila Householder. She passed away June 19, 2012, in Medford, Ore., at the age of 94.

Phyllis married Glenn LeRoy Yancey, September 19, 1942. They had three children, Gary, and twins, Jay and Kay. They were married for 61 years. Glenn preceded her in death in 2003.

Phyllis spent many years as a stay-at-home mom. She also worked as a cook at Southern Oregon College. She enjoyed nature photography, playing pinochle, camping, fishing, and playing poker, as long as she was winning. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Gary (Karen) Yancey, Jay Yancey, and Kay (Steve Dauenhauer) Yancey; grandchildren, Michele (Tom) O'Hara, Mark (Shannon) Yancey, Alex (Alice) Dauenhauer, and Eric Dauenhauer; great-grandchildren, Shane, Jack, and Nash O'Hara, and Malia and Makeila Yancey; brother, Wesley Householder; younger sister, Jeannie Gates; a niece; and several nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
