The Rogue Valley Clean Cities Coalition will host an alternative-fuel fleet conference and vehicle show from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at the Jackson County Public Works Auditorium, 7520 Table Rock Road, White City.

The Rogue Valley Clean Cities Coalition will host an alternative-fuel fleet conference and vehicle show from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at the Jackson County Public Works Auditorium, 7520 Table Rock Road, White City.

Kris Ransom of Avista, Wendel Smith of Rogue Disposal and Recycling, Tim D'Alessandro of the Rogue Valley Transportation District, Ron Forsyth of the city of Medford and Carl Tappert of Rogue Valley Sewer Services will talk about local, compressed-natural-gas fleet vehicles and the region's new fast-fueling station.

Luis Brito of John's Auto Care and Mike James of Jackson County will talk about propane-converted Ford pickups.

The electric vehicle session will feature Greg Lemhouse of Brammo Inc., who will talk about new battery technology in electric motorcycles; Ashley Horvat of the Oregon Department of Transportation, Frank Wong of AeroVironment and Don Baglien of Seven Feathers Travel Center, who will discuss the West Coast Electric Highway; and Brandon Goldman of the city of Ashland and Justin Denley of Rogue Federal Credit Union, who will describe a year with the Nissan Leaf.

The vehicle show will feature Rogue Disposal's waste truck, the city of Medford's street sweeper, and RVS' F-350, all powered by natural gas. Jackson County and John's Auto Care will display propane F-150s. There will be a Brammo electric motorcycle and a Mitsubishi iMiEV, Nissan Leaf and Chevy Volt electric sedans.

Also available will be representatives of companies that sell or service alternative fuel vehicles, including Butler Ford, Southern Oregon Subaru Volvo Mitsubishi, Lithia Nissan, TC Chevy, Webfoot Truck and Equipment, DSU Peterbilt, John's Auto Care, Blue Star Gas, Advanced Truck Body and Equipment Company, Knapheide, Ferrell Gas, Brammo and Campbell-Parnell.
