WICHITA, Kan. — Ashland native Jason Allred finished in a tie for 15th place after firing a 2-under-par 69 at the Wichita Open on Sunday.

Allred, who finished at 10-under 274, birdied Nos. 11, 13 and 16 and bogeyed Nos. 7 and 18 at Crestview Country Club. This year, Allred owns four Top 25 Nationwide Tour finishes and has earned $36,592.

Casey Wittenberg won the tournament for his second Nationwide Tour victory of the season, shooting a 66 in 100-degree heat for a two-stroke victory over Justin Hicks and Jim Herman.

Wittenberg, an eight-stroke winner in March in the Louisiana Open, finished at 18-under 266. He tied for 10th last week in the U.S. Open.

Wittenberg earned $108,000 to jump from 10th to second on the money list with $240,019. The final top 25 will earn 2013 PGA Tour cards. He also could earn an immediate promotion with a third victory.

Hicks shot a 67, and Herman had a 70.
