Alaska was ranked No. 1 by the U.S. Department of Transportation in on-time performance among the 10 largest U.S. airlines for the 12 months ending in May 2012.

A six-year agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, representing Alaska's ramp service and stores agents, was ratified last week.

Alaska serves 90 cities and its Horizon unit connects Medford with Portland, Seattle and Los Angeles.

Ashland electric motorcycle maker Brammo Inc. said Thursday Eric Bostrom will join Steve Atlas as a rider for Team Icon Brammo.

Bostrom has more than two decades of experience riding for companies such as Ducati, Harley Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki. He joins the Brammo team in time for this weekend's TTXGP North America Championship 2012 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Feedback from Brammo's racers have provided core elements in the company's bikes, officials said. In 2009, Brammo competed in the first-ever TTXGP race and finished as the top American team. Since then, racing has been part of the development of Brammo's consumer and racing motorcycles, including the Empulse R, the world's fastest production electric motorcycle for consumers. Brammo won the 2011 TTXGP North American Championship with the Empulse RR.
