Calvin B. Littlefield passed away peacefully Thursday, July 19, in Anderson, Calif.

Calvin was born in Etna, Calif., March 9, 1960, to Jesse and Shirley Holt Littlefield. The family moved to Central Point, Ore., when he was one-month old. Calvin attended Central Point schools, graduating from Crater High School in 1978. He attended Ron Bailey School of Broadcasting in Portand, Ore., receiving his certificate training in communication. He worked at several radio stations as a D.J. including local stations KMED and KRWQ, going by the monikers, John O'Connell, Captain Looney, and Captain Cal.

Calvin enlisted in the Army and served from 1986 to 1989.

Although he continued in many occupations during his life, his greatest and most fulfilling occupation was that of a writer. He created many personal stories that entertained his family and friends. He was published in a computer magazine in Portland in 1992, which exhibited his knowledge of computers and computer games.

Calvin is survived by his father, Jesse Littlefield; mother, Shirley Littlefield; brother, John Littlefield; sister, Joa Littlefield; daughter, Amanda Gibson; and grandchildren, Amber Gibson, Hailey Gibson, and Paul Gibson.

A memorial service will be held August 11, 2012, 1:00 p.m., at the Phoenix Pioneer Cemetery in Phoenix, Ore.
