1912 - 2012

May Wheeler, of Medford, Ore., passed away July 28, 2012, just shy of her 100th birthday.

May was born August 11, 1912, in Montreal, Quebec Canada to Robert and Emily Watson, who preceded her in death. May was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley Wheeler; and her two sisters, Emily Rogers and Agnes Callahan.

May worked for many years as a volunteer in the Eagle Point Library. She was a great lover of books, flowers, and birds, but most of all she was devoted to her family. She was a gentle soul much beloved and cherished by her family.

She is survived by one brother, James Watson, of Point Claire, Quebec, Canada; two daughters, Sandra and husband Frank Deitrick, of Reseda, Calif., and Marilyn and husband Bryant Christensen, of Medford, Ore.; four grandchildren, Chris Deitrick and wife Jackie of Simi Valley, Calif., Wes Deitrick and wife Kristen of Spokane, Wash., Robin and husband Dr. Russell Crawford of Meridian, Idaho, and Cameron Christensen of Citrus Heights, Calif.; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great-granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
