Lula Germann passed away June 25, 2012, at age 95. Lula was born December 20, 1916, in Afton, Wyo., to Pearl and Samuel Bowles. She lived in Afton for 18 years.

In Afton she met Wilhelm "Willie" Germann, who had come to the USA from Switzerland to work as a cheese maker. They were married in Los Angeles, Calif., June 28, 1935. They moved from LA to Wisconsin, then Idaho, Montana, and finally settled in the Rogue Valley in 1954, where they had a dairy farm in Central Point, Ore. Lula enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, and quilt making.

She is survived by her children, Jack Germann, of Sylmar, Calif., John Germann, of Hamilton, Mont., Willie Germann Jr., of Sunland, Calif., and Christine Andrews, of Central Point, Ore.; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2012, 1:30 p.m., at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church, Central Point, Ore. Flowers may be sent to Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives.
