Mary Louise Edwards, 83, passed away August 18, 2012, at Providence Hospital, Medford, Ore. She was born in Klamath Falls, Ore., May 5, 1929, to Leo and Sarah Beck. Mary Louise attended grade school and graduated from Klamath Union High School in Klamath Falls. Over the course of her life, she lived in Calif., Nev., and Colo., however she always returned to her favorite state; Oregon.
Mary Louise worked in banking and as a hospital medical transcriber for the majority of her working career. After retiring and moving to the Rogue Valley, her main enjoyment came from gardening and growing flowers at her home near Jacksonville, Ore. She also completed the master gardeners course in the Rogue Valley, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Mary Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Sarah Beck; son, Timothy Francis Hold; sister, Beverley Pyles; brothers, Leo "Bud" Beck, Richard "Dick" Beck, Roger Beck, and Norman "Buzzy" Beck; nephews, Doug and Duane Pyles, Ron, Don, and Norman Beck. Survivors include her husband, Lewis Edwards of Eagle Point, Ore., sister, Donna Crocker, of Rio Rancho, N. M.; nieces, Carla Noblett, Carolynn Wetzel, Cheryl Reid, Pam Kalberg, Jana Hawthorn, and Debra Shaw; nephew, David Beck; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held August 25, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (of which she was a life-long member), Eagle Point Ward, 110 Linn Rd., Eagle Point, Ore., north of the Premier West Bank). Internment will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens in Klamath Falls, Ore.
