St. Mary's High golfer Dylan Wu and Rogue River High's Kevin Murphy shared the lead after the opening round of the 36-hole Rogue Valley Stroke Play Championships at Centennial Golf Club on Saturday.

The tournament concludes today at Centennial.

Their 2-under-par 70 is one stroke better than former Phoenix High golfer J.T. Compher, Brandon Taylor and Kelly Rasmussen, whose ace on No. 17 helped put him in the three-way tie for second place.

Dan Wozniak sits slightly behind the pack in the men's championship flight with a 73.

Dylan Wu, Murphy and Rasmussen will tee off at 2:57 p.m. today, with Compher, Taylor and Wozniak beginning at 2:48 p.m.

Defending champion Glen Clark leads in the seniors division with a 68, while Steve Elam recorded a hole-in-one on No. 6 to conclude the day in second with a 70. Ken Stringer, Bob Bowers and Robert Stassi all fired 74s.

In the super senior division, 2011 title winner Bill Seymour is in first after shooting an opening-round 74. Dick Brekke and Duane Nelson are two strokes behind.

Kathy Kolar holds an 11-stroke lead in the ladies division with a 76. Tracie Armitage and Christina Phelps are tied for second with their 87s.

In the men's division, Kevin Wu owns a four-stroke advantage over Russell Horn and John Kandaris after carding a 69.
