Kraft was knocked to the ground, striking his head, Ashland police said in a news release.

Kraft was taken to Rogue Regional Medical Center, where he died at about 2:30 p.m.

The driver is identified as Justin M. Tombe, 43, of the 500 block of Weller Lane, Ashland.
