Park the car and enjoy downtown Medford's art walk.

Tonight's Third Friday art walk includes a Drive Less Challenge Week reception hosted by Rogue Valley Transportation District. The event at RVTD's Front Street Station features music by Mike Bowman from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., a cartooning demonstration by Curt Evans and a drawing for a $25 gift card. Learn more about other upcoming events encouraging people to drive less at www.rvtd.org.

Also look for a preview of entertainment scheduled for the upcoming Multicultural Fair with folk-dance troupe Ballet Folklórico Ritmo Alegre performing traditional Mexican dances and Douglas Ross playing dulcimer starting at 6 p.m. in Vogel Plaza.

Even the City of Medford Parks & Recreation Department participates by converting four parking spaces along Main Street into miniature parks with sod, trees and picnic tables.

Of course, the art walk also includes artist receptions, food and beverage samples, and music at participating galleries and other businesses, which stay open until 8 p.m.
