A mentally disabled 58-year-old man who walked away from a Grants Pass short-term psychiatric care facility on Sunday has been found alive.

Glen McKinney was found in the Cave Junction area late Thursday and taken into custody, Medford police said in a news release.

McKinney walked away from the Crisis Resolution Center on Sunday and disappeared. He was feared to be lost and police said that without access to needed medication he was considered endangered.

Local authorities thought he might be heading to Medford because he had previously stayed at a home here.
