Earlene Workinger of Jacksonville, Ore., passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Providence Hospital.

Earlene was born March 5, 1921 in Cedarville, Calif. to Earl and Hazel Benner. She married Bill Dolan July 17, 1938. Bill and Earlene moved to Talent in 1958 and later to Central Point. Bill passed away December 25, 1978. She then married Ken Workinger November 3, 1982 and they resided in Jacksonville, Ore.

Earlene loved her flower garden and yard, she picked roses for her sister just hours before her death. She enjoyed time spent with friends at the Medford Senior Center and at her church, Trinity Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Dolan (Pat)of Renton, Wash. and Kenny Dolan, Pleasant Hill, Ore.; daughters, Ginger Dolan of Eugene, Ore., and Joan Hawkins (Dale) of White City, Ore.; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Davi (Gene) of Jacksonville, Ore.; sisters, Ruth Heard, Alturas, Calif., and Ruby Toney, Jacksonville, Ore.; and brother, Erno Benner (Dorothy), Medford, Ore. Earlene has 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Survivors also include one niece and seven nephews. Earlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ken Workinger; son, Bill Dolan Jr.; two grandsons, Eric and Corey Dolan; and niece, Sandy Velasquez.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford, OR. Pastor Ron Allen of Trinity Baptist Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association (offices in Portland and Eugene) in memory of Earlene's husband, Ken Workinger, and her longtime friend, Ed Sakraida.
