Don Daniken, 58, of Rocky Point, Ore., passed away May 19, 2013, in Portland, Ore. He was born September 26, 1954, to Gilbert Dan and Betty Daniken in Medford, Ore. He grew up and went to school in Medford.

Don was an avid motorcyclist, enjoying flat track racing and motocross and hill climbing. Don loved all kinds of hunting. Some of his favorite places were Hart Mountain and the Oregon desert. He was a good fisherman and loved to drift the Rogue River in his drift boat. He also fished the ocean and many of the lakes. Don was a member of the Little Butte Mountain Men. He worked a number of years at Boise Cascade as an equipment operator.

Don is survived by his wife, Christine Darby-Daniken; son, Doug Daniken, of Eagle Point, Ore.; and two grandchildren, Tanner and Danyelle Daniken. He is also survived by his sister, Debbie Lusk, of Eagle Point, Ore.; his parents Gilbert Dan and Helen Daniken, of Gold Hill, Ore.; two step brothers, Lynn Aarseth, of Jefferson, Ore. and Tom Aarseth, of Central Point, Ore.; three step-sisters, Beverly Fety, of Rogue River, Ore., Susan Aarseth, of Mulino, Ore., and Annamarie Aarseth, of Central Point. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Daniken; and his grandparents, Millus and Mabel Robinson, and John and Emma Daniken.

A date for a celebration of life will be announced later.
