Jackson County Board of Commissioners Chairman Don Skundrick plans a second series of town hall meetings, starting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Shady Cove library, 22477 Highway 62.

Additional meetings will be held throughout the county in coming months. County officials said an additional meeting has been scheduled for Nov. 12 at the Applegate library, but more will be scheduled for months further out.

"This process is a valuable experience for gaining a comprehensive understanding of our entire county," Skundrick said in a news release. "I'm learning firsthand about the real issues people are concerned with, and I hope I'm helping residents better understand what Jackson County is doing to help each one of them."

A wide range of topics, including the county's several current capital projects will be discussed. Residents who attend can ask questions on anything pertaining to county government.

A similar series of community meeting was held in the past year.
