SALEM — Taos Cadarette-Stewart's seven-goal performance propelled the Ashland boys water polo team to a 9-5 victory over Lake Oswego in the South Salem Tournament championship on Sunday.
The Ashland girls also seized the championship with a 4-1 triumph over South Salem.
Cadarette-Stewart pitched in four steals and an assist for Ashland, which received one goal, two assists and two steals from Cole Harding. Ashland's Hoku Eggertsen also scored while goalie Vincent Wright made four blocks.
Elisabeth Tappert notched a pair of goals to lead the Ashland girls' squad. On the defensive end, Sadie Kasiah racked up five steals to go with her goal.
Ashland's Maddy Longshore also scored a goal and goalie Kaya Boehm made eight saves.
