Trick-or treaters can trade their candy for cash at the office of Central Point dentist Dr. Judd Larson.

Kids can bring their Halloween candy to 57 N. Second St., Central Point, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. ,1 and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4.

Larson will pay children $1 per pound of candy and then, through the Operation Gratitude program, will ship all collected treats to troops serving overseas. The candy must be unopened.

Larson said in a news release he's hoping to reduce childhood tooth decay among children.
