Milton A. Edwards passed away in his home October 25, 2013. He was born in Vernon, Texas on December 18, 1937 to Herman and Pauline Edwards. At the age of 3 he contracted polio, followed by numerous surgeries in Shriners Hospitals, which enabled him to walk.
In his younger years he rode dirt bikes in the Baja desert and dune buggies at the beach. He also loved camping, fishing and hunting with fam-ily and friends. In 1973 he pur-chased a Datsun 240Z, which was the start of 40 years of car shows and tours as a member of Z clubs. Milt worked 30 years at Lockheed Martin in the Silicon Valley, Calif. as a computer programmer and data systems engineer. He retired to the Rogue Valley in 1995, where he went on ex-cursions with his Grants Pass RV Club friends and target shooting with the gun club.
He married Anita Turner June 14, 2008. During their precious few years together, they par-ticularly enjoyed going to Z Club events, trips to the coast and taking cruises to Alaska. Milt was a member of West-minster Presbyterian Church, where he was baptized in 2012 and served as a member of their Deacon Emergency Assistance Fund Team.
He is survived by daughters, Terri Kopp, Arlyta Gomez, and Kristine Edwards; sons, Doug-las Edwards and Eric Turner; and his wife, Anita Edwards. Milt had a wonderful life, full of great times and happy memories. He was loved beyond measure.
At his request, a private service will be held at a later date in Roseburg, Ore. Donations may be made in his honor to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
