Services for Ancel L. Rosecrans were held Friday, November 15, 2013 at Conger Morris of Central Point, Ore.
He was born October 12, 1934 at home on Kane Creek in Central Point, Ore. to Charles F. and Millie Rosecrans. Ancel attended Gold Hill School. He graduated from Crater High School in 1953.
On July 7, 1953 Ancel married Nancy Rice, who survives him. Ancel was employed by the telephone company for 35 years. He retired in March 1989.
Ancel was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish and camp. He also loved to carve wood, once carving a 30 foot totem pole. Ancel also created ornate steel gates and loved old tractors.
He is survived by his sons, Trenton and Steve; grandsons, Lonny and Josh; two great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. Also surviving are brothers, Charlie and Gene; sisters, Millie Wolff, and Betty Dowless of Corvallis, Ore.; as well as many neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Dotchell.
