The game was tied 1-1 with about six minutes to go when Spencer connected off assists by Taylor McConnell and Cy Jenson. Less than 30 seconds later the Spartans (6-10) made it 3-1 when Jason Henry scored off assists by Ben Henry and Austin Sartorius.

Spencer then iced the game with under just under two minutes to go when he cashed in on a power play, assisted by Arturs Buss and Satorius.

Buss scored the first goal of the game for the Spartans with 24 seconds left in the first period.

Southern Oregon keeper Ian Dvorak had 32 saves in the victory.

The Spartans will go for the three-game sweep of Missoula (4-5) today at 1:30 p.m., at The RRRink.
