JACKSONVILLE LIGHTS ITS TREE with festivities from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the corner of Third and California streets. The ceremony, which kicks off Jacksonville's Victorian Christmas, will include live music by the Rogue Valley Symphony Brass Quintet, caroling and an appearance by Father Christmas. The blues powerhouse has rounded up a group of Northwest all-stars for a show sure to rock Alex's Plaza Restaurant at 9:30 p.m. She's got guitarist Michael Quinby, keyboardist and harmonica player Hank Shreve, bassist John Mazzocco and drummer Dave Melyan to help her out. They'll play contemporary blues, funk, R&B and blues standards, as well as some originals by Lovely, Shreve and Quinby. Cover is $5.

A BAGPIPE AND HURDY GURDY Festival begins with a bagpipe jam at 7 p.m. at the Headwaters building, 84 Fourth St., Ashland.
